ECHO's core feature is detecting when you're near another ECHO user in real life. This only works if the app can check your location periodically in the background — if you only allow location "While Using," you won't receive proximity notifications while the app is closed. Your exact location is never shown to other users; only the fact that someone is nearby.
Make sure location access is set to "Always" for ECHO in your device Settings, and that Notifications are enabled for the app. On some devices, background apps are paused after a period of inactivity — reopening ECHO restarts detection.
Open the conversation or profile of the person you want to block or report, and use the "Block" or "Report" option available there. Reporting a user automatically blocks them as well.
Go to Impostazioni (Settings) inside the app, tap Elimina account (Delete account), and confirm. This permanently and immediately deletes your account and all associated data. See our Privacy Policy for details on what gets deleted.
Go to Impostazioni → Sicurezza inside the app. You'll find dedicated options to change your password, email, and username.
Not in the traditional sense. ECHO doesn't require you to declare in advance what you're looking for — it's about noticing people you cross paths with in real life, whether that leads to a friendship, a new acquaintance, or something else.
If you believe you've encountered a safety issue, including anything related to the safety of minors, please use the in-app "Report" feature immediately and also contact us directly. See our Child Safety Standards page for more information.
For anything not covered above, email us at info@echoapp.it. We aim to respond within a few business days.
